Higher Control
"
The band Higher Control is a humble yet stimulating cocktail of a group. Lead vocals and rhythm guitar are done by James Lawton (humbly renamed Jimbo), drums are mastered by Joss Barnes, and lead guitar is donned by Nicko Franklin. The band are good friends who are lucky enough to have found an enthusiastic musical nature in one another.Lyrics and Music are written by Jimbo, but each member contributes their own individuality to the songs. The lyrics and melodies that are conceived by this band are either pleasantly simple or stimulatingly complex. With a wide range of influences, moving from the Beatles to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers to Oasis, the promising young band are full of charm, character and originality. With these atributes, Higher Control are able to lull anyone into loving their music by sharing pensive lyrics, memorable tunes, and on the whole good Rock music.

Over the last year Higher Control have had considerable experience of performing live, playing at many London venues such as Viva Viva, The Bull & Gate and Mass. On a larger and more professional scale Higher Control have performed at the Belladrum Tartan Hearts Festival in Inverness. The bands has also been creating quite a stir on myspace, they have a current friend count of approximately 5600. In October 2007 the band were spotted by local radio station FOD, and were given a glowing review, they where interviewed by Aly on FOD on 27th February 2008. Higher Control has just been asked to do an interview for Radio Grapevine in West Lothian, dates are to be confirmed shortly. London Street Wanderer is also on a number of other local and university radio stations playlists. The band has also had some interest from a prominent record producer.Over the next year the band will continue giging in and around London, then in the summer they hope to perform at a number of festivals and clubs all over the UK. Higher Control will also continue promoting their music through local radio, doing more interviews throughout the summer. Throughout the next year the band will continue recording more songs and in June the band will be releasing their debut track for download.
